MICHIGAN SCHOOL PROFESSIONALS FOR STUDENTS WHO ARE DEAF OR HARD OF HEARING (MSPSDHH)
Application Information
MSPSDHH is an organization consisting of educators, audiologists and others with a vested interest in providing outstanding education and quality services to the deaf and hard of hearing (D/HH) youth of Michigan.
MSPSDHH proudly presents its offering of scholarships to qualifying D/HH students. There is one (1) scholarships available for $150. The scholarships will be awarded to individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing and who are a Junior Senior in a Michigan high school. The scholarships will be awarded based on academic strides/improvements, community involvement and/or active leadership. They will NOT be based on high academic achievement or financial need. The scholarship may be used towards university/college tuition, trade school, leadership camps and/or D/HH camps.
To be eligible for consideration for a scholarship, a student’s application packet must be received no later than April 1, 2022. The scholarship will be presented during the scheduled Zoom membership meeting May 2022.

*Requirements:
- The student will type one page about himself/herself expressing what sets them apart from others. The student will also include information about personal goals and future plans.
- The student will ask a teacher to write a “Letter of Support” telling why the student should receive the scholarship.
- Complete the Scholarship Application Form
- Provide a copy of an audiogram
- The student will send the completed application packet to the following address by April 1, 2022
*Candidates should possess some or all of the following qualities:
- High school Junior or Senior
- Motivated to continue education – College, university, trade school, etc
- Positive attitude
- Responsible
- Positive leadership or role model
*Each application packet should include:
- A scholarship application form
- A one-page typed essay about himself-herself expressing what sets them apart from others as well as describing their goals and future plans
- A letter of support from a teacher telling why this student should receive this scholarship
- A copy of an audiogram
